Affordable Home Support in Victoria, BC: Help That Fits Your Budget

Keeping a home running takes time and effort. Everyday household tasks, errands, home organization and seasonal upkeep can quickly add up, especially when you’re trying to manage everything on your own or help a family member from a distance.

For many seniors and families, the right support doesn’t need to mean a large or ongoing commitment. Sometimes it’s a regular visit to stay on top of household tasks. Other times, it’s a few hours of help with a specific project, an upcoming move, or a list of things that have been put off.

At Victoria Home Support, we provide flexible, practical and non-medical home support in Victoria, BC and throughout Greater Victoria. Our services are designed around the individual, so you can choose the type and amount of help that makes sense for your home, your priorities and your budget.

While independent seniors are our primary clients, other households can also book help with everyday tasks, seasonal upkeep or a move.

Flexible Home Support That Works Around Your Needs

Affordability looks different for every household. Some clients benefit from regular weekly support, while others may only need help once or twice a month. You may also need additional assistance from time to time when a larger project comes up.

That’s why our home support packages are customizable.

At the beginning of each visit, we work with you to identify the highest-priority tasks and focus our time where it will be most useful. Depending on what you need, a visit might include household tasks, errands, organization, technology assistance, seasonal tasks, companionship or other practical support around the home.

Our home support options include:

  • Monthly Home Support: one scheduled visit each month, including 4 total labour-hours
  • Twice-Monthly Home Support: two scheduled visits each month, including 4 labour-hours per visit (8 total)
  • Weekly Peace of Mind Support: four scheduled visits each month, including 4 labour-hours per visit (16 total)
  • One-Time Home Assistance: flexible help for a specific project or list of tasks
  • Downsizing & Home Transition Support: hands-on assistance with organizing, sorting, packing and preparing for a move

How Much Does Home Support Cost in Victoria?

Our Monthly Home Support package starts at $250 per month plus GST and includes one scheduled visit with four total labour-hours: one team member for four hours or two team members for two hours. Staffing is agreed in advance based on the tasks and your preferences. Each recurring visit includes practical assistance based on your priorities and a friendly check-in. A written Visit Summary is prepared afterward, in addition to the four labour-hours.

One-time assistance is quoted individually, with a two-hour minimum unless otherwise agreed. Travel fees or minimum bookings may apply outside our core service area. View our home support packages and pricing for current options, inclusions and details.

Pay for the Support You Actually Need

One of the benefits of flexible home support is being able to focus your time and budget on the things that would make the biggest difference.

Maybe the kitchen and pantry need organizing. Perhaps seasonal outdoor tasks have become difficult, or there are errands that are becoming harder to keep up with. You might need help preparing for guests, coordinating a service appointment, setting up a new device or getting ready for a move.

Instead of trying to find a different provider for every small task, Victoria Home Support brings a wide range of practical assistance together through one local team.

We work with you to determine what would be most helpful and build support around those priorities.

A little help with the right things can make everyday life much more manageable.

Is Non-Medical Home Support Right for You?

Home care providers offer a range of services, which may include household assistance, personal care or nursing. The right choice depends on the type of help you need.

Victoria Home Support focuses on practical, non-medical assistance with everyday needs, including errands, household tasks, organization, technology, seasonal upkeep and companionship. We do not provide personal care or nursing services.

You can choose the type and frequency of practical support that makes sense for you, whether that means regular visits or help with a specific project. If your main goal is to keep up with household tasks and home upkeep, our services may be a good fit.

One Local Team for Everyday Household Support

Home support can involve much more than traditional housekeeping.

At Victoria Home Support, our practical assistance can include:

  • Household cleaning and everyday upkeep
  • Handyman work and household assembly
  • Home organization and decluttering
  • Errands and household pickups
  • Technology and device assistance
  • Household service appointments and contractor coordination
  • Yard maintenance and seasonal outdoor tasks
  • Companionship and check-ins
  • Downsizing and home transition support

For clients who receive recurring support, every visit includes a friendly check-in, practical assistance based on current priorities, and a written Visit Summary outlining what was completed and any suggested follow-up. With authorization, these updates can also be shared with a designated family member.

This can be particularly helpful for families who live outside Victoria and want to stay informed about how a parent or loved one is doing at home.
